"Hi Date...": Yuzvendra Chahal's Message For Wife Dhanashree Goes Viral

Indian cricket team star Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma, who is a very popular social media personality, are a power couple. They can often sharing viral posts on social media. Chahal was part of the limited overs teams which played in the recently-concluded tour of the West Indies. India's last two T20Is were played in Miami, Florida. Chahal's wife Dhanashree also reached Miami on the occasion and  attended one of the games. She witnessed the game in Lauderhil, Miami, and was left stunned by the "dedication" of the spectators. "Match in Miami. Was stunned to see such dedicated & wonderful fans in Miami," read the post of Dhanashree.

With the squad for the Asia Cup 2023 yet to be announced, there is a lot of intrigue on whether Chahal will be picked. The Asia Cup 2023 squad will give an idea about what India World Cup squad might look like. 2007 T20 World Cup winner Robin Uthappa said that he would pick both Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal in the squad.

"I would pick both Chahal and Kuldeep for the World Cup. Kuldeep is a much-improved bowler, and I would love to have him as an option in the team because every time he has got an opportunity, he has performed. He has performed out of his skin. I certainly think Kuldeep should also be an option. Kuldeep and Chahal are equally dangerous. Kuldeep and Chahal will be dangerous in the World Cup if given opportunities," Uthappa told Times of India.

The former India star mentioned that preceding tours ahead of the World Cup will be crucial.

"A loss in the series (vs Ireland) will affect the team very much. This is a T20I series and India will be playing a lot of T20 cricket before the T20 World Cup next year. There will be a lot of preparations. If India can get to a place where they have a few games left before the World Cup (ODI WC), they will have a team finalised, they will have an assured 15 members finalised, and they will find themselves in a good position. India at home are definitely favourites," Uthappa said.

Drunk US Tourists Found Sleeping Atop Eiffel Tower After Evading Security

Two drunken American tourists were discovered sleeping atop Paris' iconic Eiffel Tower on Monday, after dodging security the night before, Sky News reported. The inebriated tourists were woken up early Monday morning by security guards as they were making their rounds before the landmark's 9:00 am opening time.

The publicly-owned operator of the Eiffel Tower, Sete, stated that the individuals had likely become stranded due to their intoxication levels.

They "appear to have got stuck because of how drunk they were", Paris prosecutors told AFP.

As per the report, the inebriated Americans had spent their night under the stars in a spot normally closed to the public between the tower's second and third levels, but "did not pose any apparent threat".

Notably, the duo purchased tickets for entry at around 10:40 pm on Sunday but jumped over security barriers while making their way down from the top. A team of firefighters, including specialists skilled in rescuing individuals from dangerous heights, was dispatched to safely retrieve the trespassers.

Both men were taken to a Paris police station for questioning, while Sete said it would file a criminal complaint. As a result of the misadventure,  the opening of the tower to the public was delayed by approximately an hour on Monday morning.

Earlier on Saturday, a security alert prompted the evacuation of three floors of the Eiffel Tower. SETE said bomb disposal experts as well as police were scouring the area, including a restaurant located on one of the floors. Visitors were also evacuated from both the three floors and the square under the monument shortly after 1:30 pm (1130 GMT).

The magnificent Eiffel Tower, known as "la dame de fer" (Iron Lady in French), is 330 meters (1,083 feet) tall and is the tallest structure in Paris. The tower, France's most emblematic symbol, drew 6.2 million visitors last year.

Construction work on the tower began in January 1887 and was finished on March 31, 1889.

Paris Hilton Slammed For Vacationing In Maui Amid Devastating Wildfires

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton is being slammed on social media after she was spotted vacationing on the beaches of Maui, Hawaii, just 30 miles away from the devastated town of Lahaina. Pictures that have surfaced online show Mrs. Hilton enjoying a beach day at a resort in Wailea with her husband, Carter Reum, and their son, Phoenix, Page Six reported.

Meanwhile, nearly 100 people have died, thousands have been displaced and buildings and businesses have burnt down, making it one of the worst natural disasters to hit the US.

Criticising her, one person wrote, ''While Maui burns, Paris Hilton Fiddles ( on vacay in Maui)! Get a clue honey and go home.''

''Tone, meet my friend deaf,'' said another.

A third wrote, ''Paris Hilton is vacationing in Maui at a resort 30 min from Lahaina. Imagine watching thousands of ppl lose their homes, loved ones, families, etc, and then expecting them to SERVE YOU DRINKS WHILE U FROLIC ON THE BEACH IN FRONT OF THEM OMG.''

“It was initially a planned family trip, and she has been traveling to Maui since she was born. She has many friends and family there and it's a second home for her," a source close to Mrs Hilton told People.

The pictures come days after Hawaiian native Jason Momoa urged people not to vacation in Maui amid the ongoing devastation.

''Maui is not the place to have your vacation right now. DO NOT TRAVEL TO MAUI. Do not convince yourself that your presence is needed on an island that is suffering this deeply,'' he wrote on Instagram.

The Hawaii Tourism Authority also posted a similar statement urging visitors not to come to Hawaii at this time and for those vacationing on the island to leave Maui. Many hotels are currently housing evacuees, with as many as 4,500 people in need of shelter.

One local woman told the BBC, "The same waters that our people just died in three days ago are the same waters the very next day these visitors — tourists — were swimming in. That says a lot about where their heart and mind is and where our heart and mind is. You don't see our people swimming, snorkeling, surfing. Nobody is having fun in tragedy."

The wildfire is the deadliest in the United States since 1918, when 453 people died in Minnesota and Wisconsin, according to the nonprofit National Fire Protection Association. Hawaiian authorities have begun a probe into the handling of the fire, with residents saying there had been no warning.

"Not Here As PM But A Hindu": Rishi Sunak Attends Ram Katha At Cambridge

Attending a Ram Katha at Cambridge University on Indian Independence Day, Rishi Sunak proclaimed that he was there "not as a Prime Minister but as a Hindu".

"It is truly an honour and pleasure to be here today at Morari Bapu's Ram Kahtha at the University of Cambridge on Indian Independence Day. Bapu, I am here today not as a Prime Minister but as a Hindu," said Mr Sunak, the UK's first Indian-origin Prime Minister, who is also a practising Hindu with Punjabi roots.

Mr Sunak was born and raised in Southampton, but his appointment as his UK's first prime minister of colour has been cheered by Indians who still consider him a son of the soil.

"Like an ordinary person, our Rishi sahab is here. A warm welcome to you. May lord Hanuman bless you and the British people reap the benefits," said the spiritual leader welcoming the Prime Minister.

Mr Sunak said that his Hindu faith guides him in every aspect of his life and gives him the courage to do the best as the Prime Minister of Britain.

"For me, faith is very personal. It guides me in every aspect of my life. Being Prime Minister is a great honour, but it is not an easy job. There are difficult decisions to make, hard choices to confront and our faith gives me courage, strength, and resilience to do the best that I can for our country," he said.

Pointing to a large golden image of Lord Hanuman as the backdrop to Morari Bapu's Ram Katha, the British prime minister said it reminded him of how a "golden Ganesha sits gleefully on my desk at 10 Downing Street".

"It is a constant reminder to me about listening and reflecting on issues before acting," he shared.

Mr Sunak reflected upon his childhood years in Southampton where he often visited his neighbourhood temple with family.

"Growing up, I have very fond memories of attending our local mandir in Southampton. My parents and family would organise havans, pujas, aartis; afterwards, I would help serve lunch and prasad with my brother and sister and cousins," said Mr Sunak.

"Our values and what I see Bapu does each day of his life are the values of selfless service, devotion and keeping faith. But perhaps the greatest value is duty or sewa, as we know it. These Hindu values are very much shared British values," he noted.

Referencing his family's immigrant history, Sunak noted how many among the hundreds gathered at the Katha had parents and grandparents who came to the UK with very little from India and East Africa and worked their way up to give his generation the greatest opportunities ever.

"I leave here today remembering the 'Ramayana' that Bapu speaks on, but also the 'Bhagavad Gita' and the 'Hanuman Chalisa'. And for me, Lord Ram will always be an inspirational figure to face life's challenges with courage, to govern with humility and to work selflessly," he added.

He concluded his address with the words 'Jai Siya Ram' and went on to participate in an aarti on stage, with Morari Bapu invoking the blessings of Lord Hanuman.

"My Father Did Drop Bombs, But...": Sachin Pilot Slams BJP Leader's Tweet

Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Tuesday hit out at BJP IT department head Amit Malviya for claiming that his father Rajesh Pilot dropped bombs as an air force pilot in Mizoram in March 1966, saying the facts and dates are wrong as he was commissioned into the force in October that year.

In a post on X, Mr Malviya had claimed that Rajesh Pilot and Suresh Kalmadi were flying the Indian Air Force planes that bombed Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, on March 5, 1966.

"Later both became MPs on Congress tickets and ministers in the government. It is clear that Indira Gandhi gave a place in politics as a reward, gave respect to those who carried out air raids on their own people in the Northeast," Mr Malviya had said in the post in Hindi.

Hitting out at the BJP leader, Mr Pilot said, "@amitmalviya - You have the wrong dates, wrong facts…Yes, as an Indian Air Force pilot, my late father did drop bombs. But that was on erstwhile East Pakistan during the 1971 Indo-Pak war and not as you claim, on Mizoram on the 5th of March 1966." "He was commissioned into the IAF only on 29th October 1966! (Certificate attached). Jai hind and a happy Independence Day," Mr Pilot said on X and shared the certificate according to which Rajesh Pilot was commissioned in the Indian Air Force on October 29, 1966.

The Congress last week hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his criticism of then PM Indira Gandhi's decision to use the Indian Air Force in Mizoram in 1966, saying he "twisted decisions" taken by his predecessors out of their political and historical context to score "petty debating points".

Responding to the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha, PM Modi had referred to incidents such as the use of the Air Force to "attack the people in Mizoram", a radio transmission of the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1962  leaving the people of the northeast to fend for themselves during the Chinese invasion as cases in point of Congress' "neglect" of the region.

Neymar Quits PSG To Sign For Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal

Brazil forward Neymar has signed for Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal after six seasons with French champions Paris Saint-Germain, the clubs announced on Tuesday, joining Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema as the latest big name lured to the oil-rich Gulf state. Neymar, 31, scored 118 goals in 173 matches for PSG in six injury-plagued seasons. He won five Ligue 1 titles and three French Cups, but was on the losing side as PSG were beaten by Bayern Munich in the 2020 Champions League final.

"I am here in Saudi Arabia, I am Hilali," Neymar said in a video posted to Al Hilal's social media accounts.

"It is always difficult to say goodbye to an amazing player like Neymar, one of the best players in the world," said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in a statement from the French champions.

"I will never forget the day he arrived at Paris Saint-Germain, and what he has contributed to our club and our project over the last six years. We had a great moment and Neymar will always be a big part of our history," he added.

Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona in 2017 for a world record fee of 222 million euros ($242 million), a few weeks before they recruited Kylian Mbappe.

The Brazilian scored 118 goals in 173 matches for PSG, winning five Ligue 1 titles and three French Cups, but his time at PSG was blighted by a catalogue of injuries.

Although he helped the club to the 2020 Champions League final, which they lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich, he was sidelined for key games.

Neymar underwent surgery on his right ankle in early March, only returning to join PSG on their pre-season tour of Asia.

However, he no longer figured in new coach Luis Enrique's plans and was immediately linked with a move to Al-Hilal, where he will earn "100 million euros a season", according to a source close to the matter.

PSG will not come close to recouping the fee they paid for Neymar but will still pocket close to 100 million euros as well, according to the same source.

Al-Hilal have traditionally been one of Saudi Arabia's top clubs and have been crowned Asian Champions League winners on four occasions.

They are coached by Portugal's Jorge Jesus, who is in his second spell at the club, while the squad currently boasts four international players recently lured from Europe -- Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Kalidou Koulibaly and Neymar's Brazilian compatriot Malcom.

Last month Al-Hilal made a 300-million-euro ($328 million) bid for Mbappe, though the striker reportedly refused to meet with officials from the team.

Neymar's departure from PSG follows that of Lionel Messi who now plays for Inter Miami in the United States.
