Suryakumar's Handshake With PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi Gets Brutal Reaction

Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian cricket team captain at the Asia Cup, was in focus on Tuesday at the captains' press conference. Ahead of the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan on September 14, India's T20 skipper Suryakumar Yadav, emphasised that aggression is essential in cricket and believes that without aggression, it's challenging to succeed in the sport. India will kick off their campaign against the UAE on Wednesday in Dubai, whereas Pakistan will clash with Oman at the same venue on Friday. "Aggression is always there on the field, and without aggression, I don't think you can play this sport, and I am sure I am very excited to take the field," Suryakumar Yadav told the media.

Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha responded to Suryakumar Yadav's comments, emphasising that every player is distinct with their own approach to the game. "You don't need to say anything to any player because everyone is individually very different. If someone wants to be aggressive on the field, they are more than welcome to do that," Agha told the media.

Even after the press conference ended, the duo was in the limelight. Salman went off the stage even as other captains were shaking hands. That led to social media chatter that Suryakumar and Salman ignored each other. However, it was later seen that SKY and Salman had indeed shaken hands off stage. Another video went viral, where Suryakumar Yadav can be seen greeting Mohsin Naqvi, the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Asian Cricket Council chief. That gesture was not well-received by most on social media.

In their previous clash in the T20 Asia Cup back in 2022, Pakistan got the better of India, defeating them by 5 wickets. Mohammad Nawaz was named Player of the Match for his 42 runs off 20 balls with the bat and a wicket with the ball.

India will play their final group-stage fixture against Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi. After the group stage, the tournament will proceed to the Super 4, where the top two teams from each group will qualify.

If India finishes at the top of Group A, all of their Super 4 matches will be held in Dubai. If India finishes second, one of their Super 4 clashes will be held in Abu Dhabi, and the remaining two in Dubai. The Super 4 stage will run from September 20 to 26.

Dubai will host the final, which is scheduled for September 28.

Team India squad for Asia Cup: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Shubman Gill (VC), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma (WK), Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson (WK), Harshit Rana, Rinku Singh.

Reserve players: Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Numbers In Its Favour For Veep Election, NDA Still Keeping Strict Eye On MPs

The ruling NDA is ready with an elaborate plan for the election of the Vice President tomorrow -- contest between NDA candidate Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Opposition's retired Supreme Court judge Justice Sudershan Reddy. Though the numbers are stacked up in favour of the ruling NDA, the ruling alliance has come up with a detailed plan to ensure there are no slips. The margin of the victory is not expected to be large, and the NDA is tracking every vote, sources said.

The MPs have been divided up and each group will be under the stern eye of a minister till the voting begins. The groups will meet in the morning for breakfast and then head for parliament together, sources said.

All Members of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh will gather at Piyush Goyal's residence at 8 am. MPs from the rest of north India - Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and Uttarakhand will gather at the residence of Manohar Lal Khattar.

Members of Parliament from south India will gather at the residence of Prahlad Joshi. Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be in charge of members of Parliament from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

MPs from Rajasthan will gather at the residence of Arjun Meghwal, those from Gujarat at the residence of Mansukh Mandaviya, those from Bihar and Jharkhand at the residence of Nityanand Rai.

Maharashtra MPs will start from the residence of Bhupendra Yadav, Bengal and Odisha MPs from the residence of Dharmendra Pradhan and those from northeast at the residence of Kiren Rijiju.

The Vice-President is picked through secret ballot and the MPs are allowed to exercise their choice. But in practice, MPs mostly vote as per the unofficial party line. Cross-voting is not uncommon and happened during when Jagdeep Dhankhar was elected in 2022. Some expect a repetition this time as well.

At present there are 239 Rajya Sabha MPs and 542 Lok Sabha MPs, all of whom are eligible to vote. But with the decision of Naveen Patnaik's Biju Janata Dal and K Chandrashekar Rao's Bharat Rashtra Samithi to abstain, the total number of MPs voting comes down to 770 and the majority mark is 386. The NDA has 427 MPs.

Although neither Kartik nor Sreeleela have publicly confirmed their relationship, Kartik's mother, Mala Tiwari, dropped a hint earlier this year. During the IIFA Awards 2025, when asked about her future daughter-in-law's expectations, she said, "The family's demand is a very good doctor." Tanya's Family Issues Statement Amid Backlash, "Please Keep Us Out Of This"

Bigg Boss 19 has really done what it does best, keeping everyone glued to their screens with drama, tension, and plenty of heated moments. And if there's one contestant who's been at the heart of all the buzz, it's Tanya Mittal.

The social media influencer has been making headlines for her superiority-based statements in the house ever since the show started.

Like every season, the contestants face intense scrutiny from both viewers and social media. Tanya, too, has been at the centre of debates, drawing both criticism and support. Amid the ongoing chatter, her parents have now broken their silence.

In a statement shared by Tanya's team on Instagram, her parents spoke of their "mix of emotions" as they watched Tanya on such a big stage. They said nothing makes them prouder than seeing their daughter shine, but it also pains them to see her being "pulled down" and targeted by those who don't know her.

"We cannot explain the mix of emotions we feel seeing our Tanya on the country's biggest reality show. As parents, nothing makes us prouder than watching her win hearts. But at the same time, nothing hurts more than seeing her being pulled down, made a target, and spoken about so cruelly by people who don't even know her heart."

"To everyone questioning her or throwing allegations, we have only one request: please wait until her journey is complete before passing judgments. She deserves that much. Your reels and allegations may win you attention, but they leave scars that last a lifetime," they added.

Her parents also urged people to "keep us, her family, out of this," adding that the negativity directed at Tanya affects them deeply as well.

"And please... we ask with folded hands, keep us, her family, out of this. This is a very difficult time for us. We never imagined that our daughter, whom we raised with nothing but love, would be subjected to such negativity on such a public stage. Every harsh word cuts us too, in ways you may never understand.

All we can hope is that humanity and kindness prevail. Until then, we continue to stand by our Tanya, with love and faith. We love you, stay strong like the boss we raised you to be," the statement concluded.

Tanya Mittal is an influencer, entrepreneur, podcaster, and former model. With more than 2.5 million followers on Instagram, she is known for sharing motivational content, spiritual stories, and lifestyle posts. She was crowned Miss Asia Tourism 2018 and represented India at the Miss Asia Tourism Universe pageant in Lebanon, where she won recognition on an international level. Late Night Break-In At Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief's Home

More than half a dozen masked men entered the home of Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. The gang cut electricity, ransacked the property, and prowled through the Bijalpur neighbourhood in Indore's Rajendra Nagar for nearly two and a half hours, leaving residents terrified and the political establishment rattled.

The intruders struck with precision. At around 2 am, they cut the electricity supply to Mr Patwari's house, plunging the premises into darkness and disabling CCTV cameras installed inside. With faces covered, the gang forced its way in, breaking drawers and lockers in the office section of the home. Curiously, they left behind mobile phones and valuables, raising suspicions that the raid was not a typical robbery but something far more sinister.

The attackers did not stop at Mr Patwari's residence. In their two-and-a-half-hour rampage, they targeted at least three more homes in the vicinity, including those of Nagar Panchayat CMO Rajkumar Thakur, MPEB officer Narendra Dubey, and the Arya family in Punasa. In each case, the burglars cut through window nets and attempted to break in. Terrified families woke up to find their homes vandalised.

The residents said the gang entered Bijalpur around 2 am and were last seen around 4:30 am. The audacity of their movements has sparked alarm about the security apparatus in one of Indore's key localities.

While Mr Patwari's own CCTV cameras failed to capture the intruders due to the power cut, the gang was partially recorded on cameras installed at the homes of neighbours Narendra Dubey and Rajkumar Thakur. Grainy footage shows masked figures moving stealthily through the area, confirming their entry into Mr Patwari's house. Police are now analysing this footage as a crucial lead.

Police sources point to the notorious Bank Tanda gang, a group linked to a spate of robberies across Rajendra Nagar, Rau, and Tejaji Nagar. Many of its members have been arrested in the past, but several are reportedly out on bail and active again. Tejaji Nagar Inspector Devendra Markam, who has previously cracked down on the gang, confirmed their suspected involvement, though he emphasized that investigations are ongoing.

Video: Egg Thrown At Imran Khan's Sister Outside Pakistan Jail, 2 Arrested

In a horrible incident Aleema Khanum, sister of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, had an egg thrown at her outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

The hearing for the Toshakhana case had taken place earlier and she was addressing the press when the episode happened.

The video footage shows the egg hitting her chin and then falling on her clothes, a woman can be heard shouting, "Who the hell is this?" and "Kisne kiya yeh (Who did this)." Khanum, although shocked, reacted calmly saying, "Koi baat nahi, jaane do".

The video that was caught on camera is now being widely circulated on social media.

The police have arrested two women for hurling the egg at Khanum. According to the police, the women were Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters and the egg was thrown at her after she skipped a question posed to her by journalists.

Journalists had asked her questions regarding reporter Tayyab Baloch who was trolled after raising allegations against her on social media. He had asked Aleema questions regarding purchase of a property with donation funds. Baloch also claimed that the PTI team had started a campaign against him and that he also received a threat.

Journalists asked Aleema, "You did not answer the question; instead, Tayyab Baloch was threatened. Is asking a question a crime? Do you only respond to questions of your choice?"

PTI supporters have condemned the act. One user on X wrote, "...Such behavior is not only unethical but also unfortunate, as it turns political disagreements into insults and attacks. Differences of opinion are one thing, but civility and respect should never be abandoned.", another claimed, "This disgraceful act is by Asim Munir and the Noon League; these people are extremely afraid of Khan and his family."

Khan has been accused of unlawfully buying and selling gifts kept inside a government owned department called the Toshakhana, or treasure house. The Toshakhana houses gifts received by prime ministers, presidents, ministers, members of parliament and other government officials.

He was later sentenced to prison in August 2023 for three years for selling gift items worth more than 140 million Pakistani rupees ($500,000).

The Toshakhana case against Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi has been adjourned on Friday and the next hearing is scheduled for September 8.

"India Will Say Sorry In 2 Months": Top US Official's Big Claim On Tariffs

US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said that despite India owning a strong stance against giving in to US pressure to not buy Russian oil, it will eventually come back to make a trade deal with Washington in a few months.

Speaking to Bloomberg, he said, "So I think, yes, in a month or two months, I think India is going to be at the table and they're going to say they're sorry and they're going to try to make a deal with Donald Trump".

He also warned that if India does not "support the United States" they will have to "pay 50 per cent tariffs" on its exports to the US.

The comments by the Commerce Secretary comes as US President Donald Trump in a social media post today said that it "looks like we've lost India and Russia to deepest, darkest China," before sarcastically wishing all three countries a "prosperous" future.

The comments by Trump show that he has publicly acknowledged the deepening ties between New Delhi, Moscow and Beijing. Moreover, Washington has always considered India as a foil to China's expanding influence.

Lutnick also took a jibe at India saying, "It's all bravado because it feels good to fight with the biggest client. But eventually, businesses will demand a deal with America," he said.

Issuing prerequisites to avoid tariffs, Lutnick said, "India doesn't want to open their market, stop buying Russian oil, and stop being a part of BRICS. If you want to be the bridge between Russia and China, go be it! But either support the dollar, support the United States of America, support your biggest client, or pay 50% tariffs. And let's see how long this lasts."

He also commented on India's purchase of Russian oil saying that because the crude is sanctioned and "really, really cheap", and "because the Russians are trying to find people to buy it", "the Indians have just decided, 'Ah, the heck with it. Let's buy it cheap and make a ton of money'".

Earlier today, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in an interview to CNBC TV18 said that India would "undoubtedly continue" buying Russian oil.

"Whether it is Russian oil or anything else, we will take a call based on what suits our needs in terms of rates, logistics, or whatever. Where we buy our oil from, especially since it is a big-ticket foreign exchange-related item, is a call we will take based on what suits us best. So, we will undoubtedly be buying Russian oil," she said.

This afternoon, in its weekly briefing, the Ministry of External Affairs clarified that India rejects the "inaccurate and misleading" comments made by Trump's senior trade advisor Peter Navarro.

"We have seen inaccurate and misleading statements made by Mr Navarro. Obviously, we reject them", he said.

The US has imposed 50 per cent tariffs on India, among the highest in the world, including 25 per cent for its purchases of Russian oil. India has called the tariffs imposed by the US "unjustified and unreasonable".

New Delhi said that, like any major economy, it will take all necessary measures to safeguard its national interests and economic security.

Google Fined $3.5 Billion For Breaching European Union's Competition Rules

European Union regulators on Friday hit Google with a 2.95 billion euro ($3.5 billion) fine for breaching the bloc's competition rules by favoring its own digital advertising services, marking the fourth such antitrust penalty for the company.

The European Commission, the 27-nation bloc's executive branch and top antitrust enforcer, also ordered the US tech giant to end its "self-preferencing practices" and take steps to stop "conflicts of interest" along the advertising technology supply chain.

EU regulators had previously threatened a breakup of the company but held off on that threat for the time being.

Google said the decision was "wrong" and that it would appeal.

"It imposes an unjustified fine and requires changes that will hurt thousands of European businesses by making it harder for them to make money," Lee-Anne Mulholland, the company's global head of regulatory affairs, said in a statement.

The decision was long overdue, coming more than two years after the European Commission announced antitrust charges against Google.

The commission had said at the time that the only way to satisfy antitrust concerns about Google's lucrative digital ad business was to sell off parts of its business. However, this decision made only a brief mention of possible divestment and comes amid renewed tensions between Brussels and the Trump administration over trade, tariffs and technology regulation.

Top EU officials had said earlier that the commission was seeking a forced sale because past cases that ended with fines and requirements for Google to stop anti-competitive practices have not worked, allowing the company to continue its behavior in a different form.

It's the second time in a week that Google has avoided a breakup.

Google is also under fire on a separate front in the US, where prosecutors want the company to sell off its Chrome browser after a judge found the company had an illegal monopoly in online search.

On Tuesday, a US federal judge found that Google had illegal monopoly in online search and ordered a shake-up of its search engine but rebuffed the government's attempt to break up the company by forcing a sale of its Chrome browser.

But the EU indicated that breakup option is not totally off the table. Google has 60 days to tell the Commission its proposals to end its conflicts of interest, and if the regulators aren't satisfied they will propose an "appropriate remedy."

"The Commission has already signaled its preliminary view that only the divestment by Google of part of its services would address the situation of inherent conflicts of interest, but it first wishes to hear and assess Google's proposal," it said in a press release.

The commission's penalty follows a formal investigation that it opened in June 2021, looking into whether Google violated the bloc's competition rules by favoring its own online display advertising technology services at the expense of rival publishers, advertisers and advertising technology services.

Its investigation found that Google "abused" its dominant positions in the ad-technology ecosystem, the commission said.

Online display ads are banners and text that appear on websites and are personalized based on an internet user's browsing history.

Mulholland said, "There's nothing anticompetitive in providing services for ad buyers and sellers, and there are more alternatives to our services than ever before."

Google is facing pressure on other fronts.

In a separate US case, the Justice Department asked a federal judge in May to force the company to sell off its AdX business and DFP ad platform - tools that are also at the heart of the EU case. They connect advertisers with publishers who have ad space to sell on their sites. The case is scheduled to move to the penalty phase, known as remedy hearings, in late September.

Authorities in Canada and Britain are also targeting the company over its digital ad business.

Vasundhara Raje's Closed-Door Meet With RSS Chief Sets Political Circles Abuzz

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's closed-door meeting with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat in Jodhpur has set political circles abuzz.

Ms Raje, who is on a two-day tour of Jodhpur, met Mr Bhagwat at Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Lal Sagar area, on her way to the shrine of Ramdeora near Jaislamer. The meeting lasted about 20 minutes.

What exactly transpired in the meeting - if they discussed politics or something else - is not known yet since her close associates, like former district president Bhopal Singh Badla, former RAJSICO chairman Meghraj Lohia, Ghanshyam Vaishnav, and other leaders were not present in the meeting room.

Mr Bhagwat is in Jodhpur for an all-India coordination meeting of the RSS and its affiliate organisations on September 5-7, which will likely be attended by around 300 senior office-bearers from 32 RSS-linked organisations.

After meeting the RSS chief, Ms Raje visited two shrines in Jodhpur, Bada Ramdwara in Surasagar and Jugaljodi Temple in Raika Bagh, where she met Senacharya Achalanand Giri Maharaj. She also visited the shrine of Ramdeora near Pokhran.

Ms Raje was in the news recently over her "exile" remark at a katha (sermon) in Dholpur. "Exile comes in everyone's life, but it's not permanent. It comes and goes; one must have composure," she had said, triggering a political flutter.

The BJP leader is expected to travel to Pushkar and Ajmer today to offer condolences for the death of Minister Suresh Rawat's father.

Salesforce Cuts 4,000 Jobs, CEO Explains Why: "I Needed Fewer Heads"

Salesforce, the parent company of Slack, recently eliminated approximately 4,000 roles in its customer support division, reducing the team from around 9,000 to 5,000 employees. This move, announced on September 1, is part of a broader strategic shift toward integrating "agentic" AI into core operations. During an appearance on the Logan Bartlett Show podcast, CEO Marc Benioff explained the rationale behind the move, emphasising efficiency gains and redeployment of human talent to higher-value areas.

Mr Benioff directly attributed the layoffs to AI's ability to automate routine customer interactions, stating, "I was able to rebalance my headcount on my support. I reduced it from 9,000 heads to about 5,000 because I need fewer heads."

He highlighted how Salesforce's AI now manages about 50% of customer conversations, allowing the company to streamline operations without sacrificing service quality. Notably, this "agentic layer" includes an omnichannel supervisor that monitors interactions between human and digital agents, escalating complex issues to people when necessary.

The CEO framed this as a forward-looking strategy to define "the next generation of the enterprise," where AI and humans collaborate seamlessly.

In the podcast, Mr Benioff also noted that AI has already eliminated a massive backlog of over 100 million uncontacted sales leads accumulated over 26 years due to staffing limitations.

"The agentic sales is calling all the people who have been trying to get in touch with us over the last 26 years. The agentic sales is having conversations with them and deeply integrating it through our omni-channel supervisor to our new agentic sales product", he said, crediting AI for breaking tasks into smaller steps and boosting productivity.

Here's the full video:

Notably, Salesforce deployed Agentforce at the start of the year, resulting in a decline in support cases and eliminating the need to backfill support engineer roles.

"At the start of this year, we deployed help.agentforce.com. Because of the benefits and efficiencies of Agentforce, we've seen the number of support cases we handle decline, and we no longer need to actively backfill support engineer roles. We've successfully redeployed hundreds of employees into other areas like professional services, sales, and customer success," a Salesforce spokesperson explained.

Mr Benioff's comments mark a shift from his earlier stance. Just two months prior, in July 2025, he told Fortune that AI would augment rather than replace workers, insisting "the humans are not going away" and dismissing fears of mass unemployment due to AI's limitations in accuracy.

He stressed the need for "the human in the loop" for fact-checking. However, the rapid adoption of agentic AI has made these reductions "unavoidable," according to Mr Benioff, as the technology now handles half of customer service tasks.

Millionaire's Firm 'Review Bombed' After He Took Cap From Child At US Open

Polish CEO Piotr Szczerek and his company are at the receiving end of public ire after he was seen snatching a signed hat from a young fan at the US Open. Not long after the video of Mr Szczerek's act, described by many on social media as "embarrassing", went viral, his company, Drogbruk, was bombarded with negative reviews.

The clip shows Polish tennis player Kamil Majchrzak offering the cap he used during his match at the US Open to a young fan in the crowd. But Szczerek, standing next to the child, snatched it.

Users on Polish forums called the CEO a "thief," while Drogbruk saw its Trustpilot rating fall sharply to 1.1 stars. Some even said that he and his company should be banned from joining the sports events or sponsoring anything related.

Even on Google, the company received just 1.2 stars from 592 reviews. One review read, "The CEO of this company doesn't have any morals; stealing from children and then defending himself in public. Don't ever do business with this company."

Another read, "Top-level management steal from children in broad daylight, then laugh about it. Definitely not someone to do business with under any circumstances (sic)."

Majchrzak described the incident as "some kind of confusion" to The New York Post, saying that he didn't immediately realise that Szczerek had taken the hat. He suggested that Szczerek's actions may have been impulsive, "in the moment of heat, in the moment of emotions."

Szczerek said he thought that the hat was meant for him, specifically for his sons, who had earlier asked Majchrzak for autographs. He said he didn't realise it was actually meant for the young boy. He said he apologised to the child and his family for taking the hat and then returned it, reported Forbes.

"I made a serious mistake. In the midst of the excitement and celebration, I believed the tennis player was handing his cap to me - for my sons, who had previously asked for autographs," he said.

'We'll Get Your Delivery Done Elsewhere': MLA's Shocker On Hospital Question

Informed by a journalist that people, especially pregnant women, were facing difficulty without a hospital in the area, a Karnataka Congress MLA made a remark that has left many shocked. "Don't worry, we'll get yours done elsewhere," the MLA told the woman journalist, winking.

RV Deshpande, who is the MLA from Haliyal in Uttara Kannada district and a former minister, was asked by a journalist in front of several of her colleagues and cameras when the Joida taluk (district subdivision) would get a hospital since residents, especially pregnant women, were suffering because of the lack of one.

"We'll get yours done in (neighbouring) Haliyal," the MLA answered.

Apparently unable to believe the reply, the journalist asked, "What, sir?"

Mr Deshpande, however, doubled down, smiling and winking at people around him. "When it's time for your delivery, we will get it done," he said.

The journalist simply replied that the people of the region desperately need a hospital and Mr Deshpande should get it built in this term itself.

The MLA responded with just an "okay".

BJP Spokesperson Vijay Prasad said the remarks were proof of the Congress' "cheap mentality" and "moral bankruptcy".

"Insulting mothers and women is not politics, it's moral bankruptcy. (Leader of the Opposition) Rahul Gandhi talks about love and respect but his leaders spread hate. This double speak must be exposed. Congress' politics is about insult, abuse and family attacks... They speak today, deny tomorrow and repeat the next week," he said.

There has been a long-standing demand for a multi-speciality hospital in Uttara Kannada and, a couple of years ago, a social media campaign called #NoHospitalNoVote was also initiated to press for it.

Residents of the region are often forced to travel to Mangaluru, Udupi or other neighbouring districts for good quality medical care, including for critical surgeries.

Boney Kapoor Confirms Diljit Dosanjh's No Entry 2 Exit

The much-anticipated sequel to the 2005 blockbuster No Entry has hit a roadblock as actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has stepped away from the project. The movie, directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Boney Kapoor, was set to roll in October 2025 with a new cast featuring Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor.

What's Happening

  • Confirming that Diljit Dosanjh is not a part of No Entry 2, Boney Kapoor told NDTV, "Yes, we have parted in good spirits as the dates were not aligning with our requirements, hopefully, we will soon do a Punjabi film together".
  • Reports suggest that Diljit's packed schedule, particularly his Aura Tour across Australia and New Zealand from October 26 to November 13, clashed with the film's shoot. The actor-singer is currently one of the busiest names in both music and cinema, balancing back-to-back projects with his international tours.

Background

At a recent event, Boney Kapoor admitted that not being able to bring back the original trio (Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan) remains a sore point. "Yeh humara loss hai that we could not retain the same star cast. We waited for almost 8 to 10 years but somehow things didn't happen. We will miss them. And now we are trying to give a fresh start with a younger lot of actors. But at the same time, we will miss Salman, we will miss Anil and Fardeen. They were the original three boys in No Entry. And they were most loved," he shared.

The original No Entry, which also featured Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, and Celina Jaitly, completed 20 years on August 26. In 2024, Boney Kapoor and Bazmee officially announced the sequel with a younger star cast, promising a fresh spin on the comedy that became one of the biggest hits of 2005.

Akram Or Bumrah - Who Is Greatest? Pakistan Great Ends Long-Standing Debate

Cricket in the Indian subcontinent has not only seen exceptional spinners but also terrific pacers. During the 1990s, Pakistan boasted a range of legendary pacers like Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Shoaib Akhtar. Back then, the Indian cricket team was more reliant on its batters. However, from the time Virat Kohli became the Indian cricket team captain in the mid-2010s, a renewed effort was made to nurture effective and lethal pacers. The result is the emergence of players like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj.

This also gave rise to social media debates on whether Bumrah is better than Wasim Akram. Now, the Pakistani cricket great himself has answered the question.

"Jasprit Bumrah is a wonderful bowler. He has an odd action, has pace, and credit to the Indian cricket board for the way they manage him and their mindset. Comparisons between the 90s and now are impossible. He is right-handed and I am a left-armer. We keep social media debates—Begano ki Shadi Me Abdulla Diwana. Neither I care nor he cares. They are fighting among themselves. He is a modern-day great. I was in my era. I did my job. He is a very impressive bowler, I must say," said Akram on GEOTV's Haarna Mana Hai show.

Recently, Wasim Akram, Pakistan great and one of the most lethal pacers in the history of the game, was impressed by Mohammed Siraj's show in England and termed his performance as “the best" he has seen in the recent past.

"I rarely watch cricket when I'm not working, but I was glued to the last day. Siraj was full of hunger and passion – it was an incredible effort. To bowl nearly 186 overs across five Tests and still be that fiery on the final day shows remarkable stamina and mental strength. He's not just a support bowler anymore. He's leading the attack and doing it with heart. Even when a catch went down– that of Brook – he didn't lose focus. That's the mark of a fighter. Test cricket is alive and kicking," Akram said in an interview to Telecom Asia Sport.

UP Man Beheaded, Dismembered For Relationship With Friend's Sister

A 22-year-old man was allegedly lured by his friends, murdered, and decapitated before his body was disposed of in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur. According to the police, the killing was motivated by a personal dispute after the victim's friend discovered that he had entered into a relationship with his sister.

The victim, Rishikesh, a resident of Kanpur's Chakeri, was reported missing by his elder brother Ravi Kumar on Sunday. By then, his body had already been discovered in the Maharajpur area, stripped of its head and thrown along the riverbank.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the murder, while four others, including the prime accused, remain missing.

The Disappearance

According to police, the chain of events began on the evening of August 29, when Rishikesh was called out of his home by two of his neighbours and friends, identified as Mogli and Nikhil. They told his family he was being taken to visit a Ganesh Chaturthi pandal.

Unbeknownst to his family, several other acquaintances -- Pawan, Babi, Danny, Satyam, Rishu and Akash -- were already waiting near the pandal. Together, the group forced Rishikesh onto a motorcycle and took him towards the Kakori forest, an isolated stretch on the outskirts of Kanpur.

Two days later, when Rishikesh did not return, his elder brother lodged a formal complaint of kidnapping with the police.

The Killing In The Forest

According to the police, Rishikesh was tied up with a rope, his legs bound, and his throat slit with a knife in the Kakori forest.

The accused admitted to beheading the victim in order to prevent his body from being identified. A sack had been brought in advance to transport the remains. The group then procured an e-rickshaw, in which they carried the severed parts of the body to the Jajmau bridge and threw them into the River Ganga in different directions.

The Motive

The central figure, identified as Pawan Mallah, was both a friend of the victim and the elder brother of the woman with whom Rishikesh had developed a relationship.

Pawan, who has a prior criminal record and had previously been banished from Kanpur district for six months, allegedly grew enraged on discovering the relationship after his return.

Discovery Of The body

On Sunday, the family filed a missing person complaint, but police in Maharajpur were alerted to the discovery of a headless body along the banks of the River Ganga.

Relatives of the missing man were called to the scene. They identified the body parts as those of Rishikesh on the basis of a tattoo on his right hand and the sacred thread tied around his wrist.

US Actor Says Leaving US Has Been 'Liberating': "America Is A S***show"

US actress Robin Wright recently described her decision to leave the United States for England as "liberating" in a candid interview with The Sunday Times. The 59-year-old star, known for roles in 'Forrest Gump', 'The Princess Bride', and 'House of Cards', has relocated to a rented seaside home in England with her boyfriend, British-Australian architect Henry Smith (52), and their two Labradors, Rusty and Rocky.

During the interview, Ms Wright expressed frustration with life in America, calling it a "s---show" characterised by constant "rush, competition, and speed." She contrasted this with her experiences in England, where she finds a "freedom of self" and appreciates the kindness of people who are "living" rather than stuck in traffic, stressed on phone calls, or multitasking meals.

"I love being in this country. People are so kind. They're living. They're not in the car in traffic, panicked on a phone call, or eating a sandwich. That's most of America," she said.

Ms Wright's decision to move was partly driven by her dislike of the noise in Los Angeles. She said she craved a quieter life and expressed happiness about having found her ideal partner. "Everyone's building a huge house, and I'm just done with all that — I love the quiet. And I've met my person. Finally," she added.

She also tied the move to a sense of personal closure as she approaches 60. "I'm turning 60 and I'm, like, 'Is this it?' I love being alone and I've done that many times. But I'm, like, 'I want to grow old with somebody, and travel and see the world," the Golden Globe winner said.

Ms Wright mentioned enjoying the quiet of the English countryside, waking up to birds chirping instead of the noise of home renovations at her former oceanside Los Angeles property. While she still travels to Los Angeles for work, she plans to spend more time in England.

Ms Wright's move aligns with a trend of American celebrities relocating to the UK amid political and cultural shifts, particularly following Donald Trump's 2024 election victory. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi cited the election as a reason for staying in the Cotswolds after arriving just before voting day.

Robin Wright was previously married to actor Sean Penn from 1996 to 2010. They have two children together: Dylan, 34, and Hopper, 32. Ms Wright later married fashion executive Clement Giraudet in 2018, but they parted ways, filing for divorce in 2022 due to irreconcilable differences. Prior to that, she had a short-lived marriage to actor Dane Witherspoon from 1986 to 1988.
